Position Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic and results-oriented sales engineer to join our team at EASE. As a Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant, you’ll drive business growth by understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions and effectively articulating the value of our products or services. Your role will be pivotal in effectively communicating technical information to customers and helping to develop and maintain relationships to build trust.

Position Location: Remote

Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year OTE

What You'll Do:
  • Technical Pre-Sales Support: Provide technical assistance and support during the sales process, including product presentations, demonstrations, and detailed technical discussions with prospective clients.
  • Solution Design: Work closely with sales teams and clients to design customized solutions that meet specific business and technical requirements. Translate customer needs into feasible solutions that align with the product offerings.
  • Product Expertise: Maintain deep technical knowledge of the company’s products and services, staying up to date on new features, updates, and competitive positioning.
  • Proof of Concept (POC) Management: Lead the development and execution of POCs to validate product capabilities and ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • RFP/RFI Responses: Assist in responding to technical sections of RFPs and RFIs, ensuring that proposals accurately address customer needs and highlight the benefits of the product.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and support teams to address customer feedback, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather insights from customer interactions to provide feedback to product teams, helping to guide future product development.
  • Technical Training & Enablement: Train the sales team on new product features, technical selling points, and competitive differentiation.
  • Post-Sale Handover: Work with implementation and customer success teams to ensure a smooth handover after the sale, providing technical documentation and guidance to help with deployment.
  • Travel: Up to 30% travel to client sites for in-person meetings, technical assessments, product demonstrations, and POCs. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to stay informed of market trends and to represent the company.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing technical role, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Skills:
    • Experience working and/or selling to Manufacturing companies, preferably Automotive with emphasis on quality and/or safety.
    • Strong technical background and ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Demonstrable experience in presenting technical products and services to customers, providing expert advice and troubleshooting customer queries.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose innovative solutions.
    • Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Familiarity with Sales Force, MEDDICC, and sales management tools.
    • Experience creating technical content, such as whitepapers or technical blog posts.
    • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
    • Language proficiency in multiple languages to cater to a diverse customer base.
